Volunteering Qld CEO, Jelenko Dragisic, will provide the keynote speech at the 12th Annual Emergency Management Conference in Wellington, New Zealand early next year. As a widely recognised advocate for the strength of the volunteering spirit, Jelenko has been asked to provide an insight into the role of volunteers in cleaning up Brisbane following the Queensland floods of 2010-2011.

About the Emergency Management Conference

With the support of the Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management, the 12th Annual Emergency Management Conference is back for 2013. This conference aims to:

Observe the lessons learnt from Canterbury as we journey towards recovery
Discover the role of resilience throughout the emergency management process
Gain insight into best practice with regards to engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders, leveraging technology and situational awareness.
