Anastassiya is a Masters of Finance and Accounting student from Kazakhstan. Before starting with the Pyjama Foundation in 2011, she had 12 years of previous volunteering experience in her home country.
Bandana is pursuing a Graduate Diploma of Management and she has previously completed a Masters in Information Technology. She recently participated in CQ University’s Community and Corporate Engagement Program, facilitated by Volunteering Qld, in order to learn more about volunteering in Australia and get involved.
Elaine is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. She is volunteering with the St Vincent de Paul Society of Qld, in the VoRTCS (Volunteer Refugee Tutoring and Community Support) scheme.
Enzhong (China)
Enzhong is pursuing a Graduate Diploma of Management and in his previous studies majored in Commerce. He recently participated in CQ University’s Community and Corporate Engagement Program, facilitated by Volunteering Qld, in order to learn more about volunteering in Australia and get involved.
Fabiola (Venezuela)
“In my home country I participated in different community involvement initiatives. One of them was held at a children’s foundation. In this three month project, I got involved with the community where the resources were poor and very scarce.”
Guillaume is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Journalism/Bachelor of Laws. He enjoys working with people and is volunteering with the St Vincent de Paul Society of Qld, in the VoRTCS (Volunteer Refugee Tutoring and Community Support) scheme.
Harmandeep is pursuing a Masters Degree in Professional Accounting. He recently participated in CQ University’s Community and Corporate Engagement Program, facilitated by Volunteering Qld, in order to learn more about volunteering in Australia and get involved.
Jeen (Malaysia)
Jeen is pursuing a Masters of Accounting. She volunteered with UnitingCare Community to revamp, update and reorganise their Intranet to make it more appealing and user friendly.
Jessica is in her second year of a Bachelor of Business at QUT. She has volunteering experience at home in Hong Kong, and wanted to volunteer here to become more involved in the local community, make new friends, and have a balance between her studies and other activities.
Mike is from the United States of America and is pursuing a double degree Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Science (Environment). He has been an active volunteer in his home country, and has already been involved in a number of volunteering activities in Australia.
Nurul is pursuing a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and she enjoys teaching and working with children. She is volunteering with the St Vincent de Paul Society of QLD, in the VoRTCS (Volunteer Refugee Tutoring and Community Support) scheme.
