The 2019 Queensland Volunteering Awards honour the inspiring endeavours of hundreds of volunteers, volunteer managers, volunteer-involving organisations and businesses that invest in employee volunteering programs, to bring about positive change in our community.
The awards are presented across six key categories:
- Volunteer of the Year Award
- Youth Volunteering Award
- Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering Award
- Excellence in Volunteer Management Award
- Powerlink Queensland - Volunteering Impact Award
- Corporate Volunteering Award
The Awards Presentation Ceremony
Nominees, finalists and recipients will all be honoured at the 2019 Queensland Volunteering Awards Presentation 10am - 12pm on Friday 24 May 2019 at Brisbane City Hall (Ithaca Auditorium).
This ceremony will highlight the stories of those who have gone above and beyond in their contribution to the community through volunteering.
This will be a wonderful celebration in the presence of the Shadow Minister for Communities and Shadow Minister for Disability Services and Seniors, Dr Christian Rowan MP, and representing the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Councillor Vicki Howard.
The Queensland Volunteering Awards are held annually during National Volunteer Week.
All nominees will receive complimentary entry to the awards ceremony. Limited seating available.
