The Awards call upon Queensland organisations and individuals to nominate exemplary volunteers, volunteer managers and volunteering programs. The best of the best will be awarded at the Ceremony on Friday 20 May 2022 at Brisbane City Hall. The event will include morning tea, entertainment and presentation of the awards.
The 2022 Queensland Volunteering Awards are an opportunity to recognise and thank these selfless, inspiring heroes as well as other volunteers, managers of volunteers and volunteer involving organisations whose exemplary volunteering effort, service and contribution deserves to be acknowledged.

- This year we invite all attendees to sponsor additional tickets which will be allocated to volunteers, organisations and community members who would otherwise be unable to attend the event.
- If you would like to purchase additional tickets to support this initiative, you can do so below.
- No names or details are required for sponsored tickets. Volunteering Queensland will allocate these and provide you with information about who these tickets were allocated to.

Volunteers give their time, effort and skills to better our society. The contribution of over 3 million Queensland volunteers (75% of adults) has provided unparalleled assistance to people and causes across our beautiful state.
Every single volunteer, whether in a formal or informal setting deserves thanks from the Queensland Community, and it is the Queensland Volunteering Awards that highlight the people behind this immense positive wave which embodies the spirit of mateship and togetherness.
The 2022 Queensland Volunteering Awards will celebrate exemplary volunteers across six important categories.
Queensland Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering Award
Presented in honour of an individual who has made an exemplary life-long contribution to volunteering. This award is proudly presented to the nominee whose long-term dedication to giving clearly demonstrates betterment of the community in Queensland.
Queensland Youth Volunteering Award
Presented in honour of an individual (aged between 14 to 24), who has demonstrated an outstanding voluntary commitment in Queensland. This award celebrates how the nominee positively impacted the lives of others through volunteering.
Queensland Corporate Volunteering Award
Presented in recognition of a Queensland-based business that has contributed volunteer hours through an employee volunteering program. The program is able to demonstrate the significant positive outcomes brought about in the Queensland community.
Queensland Excellence in Volunteer Management Award
Presented in honour of a volunteer manager (salaried or non-salaried) who has demonstrated best practice and outstanding performance in the management of volunteers and the delivery of volunteering programs. The award recognises the dedicated individuals who deliver successful volunteering programs.
Queensland Volunteering Impact Award
Presented in recognition of a volunteering program or activity that has made a significant impact on the Queensland community. This can be defined as positive, measurable and sustainable, economic, social, cultural and/or environmental impact.
Queensland Volunteer of the Year Award
Presented in honour of an individual who has made an exemplary voluntary contribution. This award celebrates those who have made a significant impact towards Queensland's well-being through their volunteering.
All Queenslanders are encouraged to nominate those who shine bright in the volunteer roles, programs and organisations. All Queenslanders are welcome to attend the awards. Help us to highlight volunteers who dedicate themselves to helping others and spread the word about the positive impacts volunteering makes in the lives of individuals, groups, communities, and the environment.

By purchasing tickets, you agree to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with Government mandated vaccination requirements.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions no ticket sales will be available on the day of the event and guests without prior purchased tickets will not be admitted.
Cancellation and refund request can be accepted until FRIDAY 13 MAY 2022 AT THE LATEST. (paid tickets only)
Should you book and pay for a ticket and are unable to attend without notifying Volunteering Queensland, a refund cannot be issued. (paid tickets only)
