For over three decades the Brisbane Broncos have had a strong commitment to improving the lives of people living in Queensland communities. The Brisbane Broncos Indigenous community programs began in 2016, and currently assist over 2,200 Indigenous school students in bettering their educational and future employment outcomes, as well as improving their general well-being. In addition to these programs, the Broncos also help to place school-leavers directly into traineeships and full-time employment through our youth employment initiatives and have established relationships with a wide range of non-profit organisations through our Charity Partner Program.
The Brisbane Broncos demonstrated capability in designing and implementing regional wide cultural programs can be demonstrated through the Beyond the Broncos Indigenous Girls Academy and Mentoring Program. Running for the past 6 years with repeated renewed contracts, the Girls Academy & Mentoring Program spreads across both QLD and NSW and involves in school support and mentoring programs throughout QLD and NSW. The Girls Academy officially has 44 schools with over 1800 Indigenous females from grade 7-12 enrolled and the Mentoring Program is operational in 7 schools with over 380 Indigenous male and female students from grade 7-12 enrolled.
